A Marine Corps veteran and the first American born of his family who originally migrated from Brazil. While actively serving, his sole job and area of focus was to train potential canine candidates on off-leash explosive detection in conjunction with off-leash obedience. This training functionality was highly sought after and allowed Joshua to train canines for and alongside both foreign and domestic military. He transitioned from his military career to training canines for the Department of Homeland Security. There he took multiple leadership roles to aid in missions regarding the advancement of the utilization and implementation of canines. In addition, Joshua aided the San Antonio Police Department in homicide cases with Layka, his now-retired cadaver dog.
